Noise can never be eliminated entirely, this is not the goal when including Acoustics into a space.
The goal in acoustic application is to create areas that offer a sound-suitable level where important noise or sound, such as teachers instructions or demonstrations, can be heard clearly above any background noise; Talking students, echos or noise bouncing off hard surfaces.
In the learning environments, noise typically comes from:
– External noise: foot steps, talking
– Generated noise from by building/structure; Air-conditioning
– Noise transferred between spaces including impact noise; echos off hard surfaces, such as furniture, walls or floors
Custom cut Acoustic Composition Wall Lining covers all walls of the open collaborative working spaces at Antonio Park PS.
Composition is a durable and flexible acoustic wall covering that is typically applied in vertical drops like wallpaper. It is easily maintained and retains its rich, solid colour and soft, velvety finish over time.
The client was provided a neutral hue of KOALA for their school, a visually calming and pinnable solution to drab walls.
All Acoustics were delivered and installed by a DPA.
